The Program Committee of the EAES has already gone far to provide you with all the newest and most important information from all fields of endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery. There will be pre-congress workshops and satellite symposia for special training and in-depth coverage of particular areas of interest.

You needn’t think, though, that our meeting will take place in a vacuum: it will be in the heart of one of the world’s greatest and most vibrant cities. Vienna’s history goes back hundreds of years and there are signs of its past everywhere. Nevertheless, the city is not sunk in its glorious past: it offers an exciting mix from the very old to the very new in every aspect of life in the city, from the buildings themselves to the rich cultural heritage and modern-day life of Vienna.
